Welcome to the NJO Foundation Africa Shop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our shop, your orders and every purchase you make with us. The Shop is operated by NJO Foundation Africa, a registered non-profit organization in Uganda, and every product you buy is handmade by women artisans in the communities we serve. Every order helps fund our education, clean water and livelihood programs across Africa.

By accessing or using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our shop.

Orders, Accounts & Eligibility

Placing an Order

By placing an order through our shop, you are making an offer to purchase a product. We may accept or decline any order for any reason, including when a product is out of stock or an order appears fraudulent. When we accept your order, we will send you an order confirmation email.

Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to place an order. If you become a registered customer, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please contact us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission.

Accurate Information

You agree to give us accurate, current and complete information when checking out — including your name, email address, delivery address and phone number — so we can process and deliver your order correctly. We are not responsible for orders that fail to deliver because of incorrect contact or shipping details.

Pricing & Payment

Prices & Currency

All prices on our shop are listed in US Dollars (USD) and include no hidden fees. We may update prices at any time, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and other payment methods shown at checkout. By submitting payment you authorize us (or our payment provider) to charge the full order total, including shipping and any applicable taxes.

Coupons & Discounts

Coupon codes (for example SAVE10) can only be used once per order and cannot be exchanged for cash. Discounts are applied to the product subtotal before shipping and taxes. We reserve the right to refuse coupons that appear to be used fraudulently.

Shipping & Delivery

Where We Ship

We ship worldwide. Delivery options, times and shipping costs are calculated based on your delivery address and shown at checkout before you pay.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you can track it any time using the order number on our Track Your Order page or from your account. Delivery estimates are guides, not guarantees, and can be affected by customs or remote locations.

Customs & Duties

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or fees charged by your country. Any such charges are your responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping costs.

Product Reviews & User Contributions

Content Standards

Any review, comment or other content you submit to our shop must be honest, accurate and lawful, and must not infringe on any third party's rights or contain personal or promotional material. We reserve the right to remove reviews that breach these standards.

License to Use

By submitting content, you grant NJO Foundation Africa a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content worldwide to promote our shop and mission.

Handmade Disclaimer

Handcrafted By Nature

Every product in our shop is handmade by women artisans, so each piece is unique. Expect small variations in color, beadwork, size and texture — these are the natural signature of handcrafted goods and are not considered defects.

Display Accuracy

We work hard to photograph our products accurately, but colors may appear slightly different on your screen. We make no guarantees that product descriptions and colors will be a perfect match to what you receive.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NJO Foundation Africa, its officers, directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our shop, your orders, or any delay or failure in delivery. Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless NJO Foundation Africa, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of our website.

Governing Law

These Terms and your use of our website shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

NJO Foundation Africa reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
